Symphonic Strings
NHBCOS' Symphonic Strings is an intermediate level string ensemble including violin, viola, cello, and bass, focused on developing both individual and ensemble skills while having fun playing music together! The ensemble rehearses and performs Medium to Medium-Advanced music (as found on www.jwpepper.com) in a variety of styles. Each concert also presents a combined symphonic work, bringing together the two NHBCOS string ensembles with wind, brass, & percussion members from the bands.
Musicians at all levels of experience are welcome, though most feel comfortable with the music if they are able to play two-octave scales up to 2 sharps/flats and have familiarity with shifting.
Fall of 2026, Symphonic Strings will meet on Monday mornings from 9-11am at Ascent Church which is located at 4870 Flintridge Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80918
