Purple Mountain Clarinet Choir

 

Purple Mountain Clarinets is a small-group ensemble consisting of intermediate to advanced clarinet players on Bb soprano, Eb soprano, alto, and bass clarinets. They meet in the Fellowship Hall of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church every Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The 90-minute rehearsals consist of rehearsing scheduled pieces, sight-reading, music theory and instrument care/maintenance tips. They concentrate on both mastering the mechanics of playing clarinet and understanding musical concepts. The ensemble covers many topics that cannot be addressed in a large band setting, and they have a lot of fun in the process. Join the ensemble and you will be pleased at the improvements you will gain in your playing. You are welcome to visit one or two rehearsals to determine if this group is for you.
