Concerts for the new year kicks off on:

- March 25, 2019 - Concert featuring the Kicks Jazz Band at the Ent Center for the Arts in the Chapman Foundation Recital Hall.  7:00pm.

- April 1, 2019 (no fooling!) - Concert featuring the Orchestra, Purple Mountain Clarinets and High Country Brass at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 7pm.

- April 7, 2019 - Concert featuring the Concert Band and the Symphonic Band at the Ent Center for the Arts.  4pm.

We look forward to seeing you at each of these events!

NHBCOS is proud to have qualified for the IndyGive! fundraising campaign for the 5th year in a row.  Please join us Dec. 1 from 5:00-8:00PM at Tap Traders to hear jazz performed by "All In Jazz".  Have a drink, enjoy dinner and socialize with friends during this fun event.  And you can pick up a nice gift basket with a donation to NHBCOS!

NHBCOS is expanding our number and types of ensembles and we are ready to enlist musicians to play in a Preparatory Orchestra.  The Preparatory Orchestra is for players with limited playing experience, or those desiring to refresh their skills.  The purpose of this group is to develop the playing and ensemble skills used in our other Orchestra.  Please know how to read and play a D Major scale, we will be advancing to G and C Major scales.  If you are a true beginner, please locate a private teacher to get you started....

Your Board of Directors has had a very busy summer and want to share some of the issues we've faced and are dealing with at this time.  Should you have any questions, please direct them to one of the board members.  Also please remember that Sudy and Sunny are not board members, they are hired staff and should not be approached about matters that are better addressed by a board members.  Thank you.

Kicks Band

Jazz (Big Band) Concert in the park:  Bear Creek Park off 21st Street - in the Pavilion

Wednesday, June 27 from 6:00-8:00pm

Bring a picnic supper and enjoy and evening of music and friendship.  The Kicks Band is conducted by Tom Fowler.

Jazz Trio performs on August 8th in the Bear Creek Pavilion from 6-8pm

Concert and Symphonic Bands

FNHBCOS wants to thank everyone who participated in our recent IndyGive! campaign.  We had many people in the bands donating and helping us with the fundraising - that’s why we were able to meet and exceed our goal.  We raised $21,957.80 – all donated by 109 different individuals.  These funds are so very important to NHBCOS to help us keep the bands operating at the level we’ve become accustomed.
